Stunning antique silver PISCES wax seal stamp, circa the 1920s. We purchased a wax seal collection in Camborne, England—a small parish outside of Cambridge. This silver seal stamp was part of the collection. Standing at 1.2" with the loop, it is a stunning seal. It features the zodiac sign Pisces, represented by two interconnecting fish swimming in opposite directions, a symbol rooted in Greek mythology and the Latin word for "fishes". These fish often depict the goddess Aphrodite and her son Eros, who transformed into fish to escape the monster Typhon, or they can symbolize the duality of the mutable Pisces sign, representing the constant pull between fantasy and reality. There are also two other Pisces glyphs above the fish. The seal base is a gorgeous blue stone, and each glyph is highlighted in gold. The seal matrix measures approximately 0.60" x 0.40". The seal is a masterpiece.
