Beautiful purple glass wax seal stamp. This type of wax seal is called a "Tassie Gem" after it's Scottish creator, James Tassie, and his nephew, William Tassie, who developed a method to mold engraved intaglios into glass gems. These wax seals were popular throughout the first half of the 19th century and are highly collectable today. This seal is a beautiful purple with the inscription "I CANNA FORGET" on it. The seal measures 1.25" wide x .5" tall and sit .40" high.
