A very pretty antique French wedding hairpiece, small tiara or crown. This is a handmade piece with silk-thread-covered wires, wax apple-blossom buds in pale pink and white, and very fine beadwork. This is a darling handcrafted decorative piece from the 1800s. A timeless treasure and a fabulous display item that can still be used. The crown is closed by connecting the back ends together. Each end has leaves, and on one side, there is an old cord that was used to hold the pieces together. It measures approximately 5" in diameter when closed. Truly a fabulous piece of history.
This is an antique, approximately 150 years old. There is wear commensurate with age.
