A very pretty antique French wedding hairpiece, tiara, or crown. This is a handmade piece with silk-thread-covered wires, handmade wax apples, and pearl blossom buds in pale cream and white. This is a darling handcrafted decorative piece from the 1800s. A timeless treasure and a fabulous display item that can still be used. The crown is closed with a small silk-wrapped hook, as seen in the pictures, but this can be opened to expand it. As it sits closed, it measures approximately 5.5" in diameter. Truly a fabulous piece of history.
This is an antique, approximately 150 years old. There is very little wear commensurate with age.
