Beautiful antique French sewing case fitted with original sewing tools circa the late 1800s. I absolutely love this sewing case. It has a mustard exterior with a yellow silk and velvet interior. There is yellow piping around the outer edge of the velvet lining. Inside the case, there are sewing necessities that are beautifully decorated in elegant patterned styling. Comprising of scissors, a thimble, and a needle case. All are housed within the original velvet-lined fitted presentation box. The box is in excellent condition, and the original hinges and closure mechanism work perfectly. The case measures 4.3" x 2.25" x 1". This is a darling original piece in fantastic condition. We purchased this case from a private sewering collector in Provence with a large collection of threads, notions, and textiles.
