Beautiful antique 1800s French handmade Sacred Heart relic. This is a painted and stitched piece made with silk, cord, metal thread, and ribbon. The central image is a hand-painted Sacred Heart surrounded by a crown of thorns wreath. It is surrounded by gold metal thread framed with delicate cord and a lovely pink ribbon on top. The back is pink silk with metal thread. This is a very decorative piece that took a significant amount of time to create. The stitches are so tiny. The piece measures 1.75" in diameter. This is a stunning antique piece. I only wish I knew the backstory behind its creation.
