Beautiful antique 1800s French framed hanging relic. This is a wall-hanging reliquary with a glass front. The central image is Mary with the Sacred Heart. It is set deep within the frame, surrounded by antique gilt paper. The hand-cut chromo card is set on green paper within an embossed, gilt paper frame. This is a decorative piece featuring a significant amount of antique gilt paper. The exterior glass is perfect with no signs of damage. Around the outer edge of the glass is more gilt embossed paper over an orange-red frame. Some of the outer gilt is missing. The sides of the frame and back are papered in papier dominote paper. The top of the back has a cloth ring for hanging. The piece measures 3.75" wide x 5" high x .50" deep. This is a stunning antique piece.
