Beautiful antique 1800s French framed hanging relic. This is a wall-hanging reliquary with a glass front. The central image is the sacred heart of Jesus. It is set deep in the frame with antique gilt paper surrounding it. The hand-cut chromo of Jesus sits on black velvet with gilt leaves covering the bottom and five chromo angels above. This is a decorative piece with a lot of antique gilt paper. The exterior glass is cracked but this can be replaced. Around the outer edge of the glass is more gilt embossed paper. The sides of the frame are black paper and the back is papered in what appears to be old wallpaper. The top of the back has a cloth ring for hanging. The piece measures 5.80" wide x 9" high x 1" deep. This is a stunning antique piece.
