Beautiful 19th-century French religious icon carving signed by Armand Bloch. Armand Lucien Bloch (1866-1932) was a French sculptor, so finding one of his signed pieces is fantastic. This is an oval-shaped hand-carved medallion made in France in the 1800s Victorian or Napoleon III Era. It is in good antique condition with a chip on the top and a smaller one on the bottom. It shows age-appropriate signs of wear and use because it is cherished and touched. In my opinion, this adds to its charm. It is blessed with a nice and natural patina. The piece measures 4.75" long x 3.75" wide x 1.25" deep.
