Truly a stunning piece I absolutely fell in love with. This is an antique 1800's French portrait of Jesus. Jesus has been painted on Mother of pearl which is in fantastic (nearly prisitine) condition given the age of the piece. The portrait was then framed in silver with angels at all four corners. The back is a faded and worn crushed red velvet. Holding it all together you can see itsy bitsy nails. There are two on one side and one on the other. I actually think this was a necklace at one time which accounts for the wear spot. The top has a ring by which to hang it and the entire piece is sound and sturdy. This piece measures 1.5" x 1.75" x .25". Truly a magnificent piece of history.
