This original antique French painting dates to the early to mid-1800s. It features a European countryside landscape with a church tower. The painting shows a village scene with a house, a path, and a church in the background. You can also see the laundry hanging on the clothesline. This piece is similar in style to "The Church of Greville" by Jean-François Millet. There is visible age-related wear, as it is almost 200 years old. It measures 10" x 8.25" x 1" and is signed "E.S." in the bottom right corner. This is a canvas stretched on a very old box frame and attached with tack nails. It is truly a lovely addition to any collection.
