A charming antique 1800s French miniature portrait in a beveled wood frame. The oval frame has a classic beveled depression with a metal insert and glass that protects the image. The subject is a young woman in a beautiful ruffled dress and bonnet. This is a signed piece, and it appears to be signed.
This portrait is in overall very good condition for its age, which is over 125 years. The metal has a slight tarnish and exhibits a mild patina. The back of the frame is papered, and the original hanger is intact and attached. The wooden frame measures 3" x 4" and the portrait of a young woman is approximately 2" wide.
