Superb Antique 1800s intaglio seal. This antique seal is a true gem for collectors. The agate handle with silver mount features beautifully carved birds perched over a garden urn standing on grass. The seal matrix is approximately .40 in dimensions and stands about 1.05" tall. The matrix is in EXCELLENT condition, and I can see absolutely no defects despite its age of 175 plus years old. However, it could use a good cleaning. This is perfect for use as a seal, and it can be worn as jewelry with a ring placed around the agate stem—just a beautiful piece of history.
