A charming Victorian carved Bloodstone intaglio seal of a flower with an Agate handle. Both the plain square end of the handle and the decorated Bloodstone could serve as seals. The Bloodstone is set in a white metal collar (most likely silver, though too small to hallmark), and there is a separate metal collar with a hanging loop (this appears to be silver-plated, but the plate is worn). Originally made to hang on a watch chain and used to seal correspondence, today it makes a unique pendant which can be worn on a thin chain or an unusual addition to a pocket watch chain. This antique seal is a true gem for collectors. A beautiful piece of history.
