This is a rare antique 1600s oil painting from France. Found in a monastery in Provence, it is a stunning piece. I can look at it and see something new each time. The painting was done on cotton and attached to a "make-do" wooden frame. A newer gold hanging triangle has been added to the top of the piece for hanging. The painting measures 7" x 10". At 325+ years old, this is a marvelous piece of art history.
