This precious crucifix was found in Provence, France. It is a late 1700s or early 1800s beauty. The cross is mounted on worn crushed brown velvet and surrounded by hand-carved florals. This piece has surely seen a lot given its age. It is one of the older pieces we have found. The measurements are approximately 10" tall (bottom to top) and 4.2" wide. Christ measures 4.25" tall and has not been polished. The patina of this piece lovely. To find a crucifix of this age with these beautifully hand-carved accents is especially poignant.
