Pleasing antique French wooden maple treenware needle case and thimble holder. There are delicate turnings or scribe lines on the ends of each piece. Opening the end of the longer need case reveals a deep well filled with needles. Opening the small barrel-shaped piece reveals a well for a thimble. The overall length is 3.6" long and .60" in diameter. The barrel-shaped thimble case measures 1.5" long by almost 1" at its widest point. Both pieces are in excellent condition. I can see no cracks or defect to either piece. A wonderful addition to any collection.
