Pleasing antique French wooden treenware needle case or sewing kit. There are delicate turnings or scribe lines on the ends of each section, and some tiny scribed concentric circles at the end of each cap. Opening one end reveals a wooden thread reel that holds three colors of thread. Removing the cap on the thread reel reveals a narrow cavity or tube where needles are still stored. The other end pops off to reveal a well perfect for a few buttons, or perhaps a single machine bobbin.
The overall length is approximately 5.75" with a 1.25” diameter.
