Beautiful 1931 French "AUX DAMES DE FRANCE" AVIGNON calendar/Agenda/date book. Aux Dames de France was a chain of department stores that appeared at the very end of the 1800's. It developed its network in the 1900's in large and medium-sized French cities. This particular book was sold in the department store in Avignon. In 1998 Aux Dames de France disappeared. They closed and went out of business. This is one of their yearly calendars/agendas/date books that they would put out each year until their closure. This particular one is dated 193.
This book measures 5.5" x 8.5" and has almost 225 pages in it. This is an original and not a reproduction. The binding is in fantastic condition and it does include the original owner's notes on the pages as well as some miscellaneous ephemera.
