Extremely fine mid 1800's gilt metal intaglio seal fob pendant. Beautifully crafted this seal features a lovely glass main stone in an black hue. This antique Victorian glass seal is a true gem for collectors of vintage and antique jewelry. The seal features a "bird on a branch". The seal matrix is about ..40" in diameter and the entire piece is .75" tall. The matrix is in wonderful condition and I can see absolutely no defects. The gilding is worn in places but this is typical given it was probably used a lot and it's age of almost 175 plus years old. It just needs a good cleaning. This is perfect to use as a seal and wear as a piece of jewelry. Just a beautiful piece of history.
