This is an 1800's Italian Relic. This relic measures 2" x 1.25" and is .20" deep. It is in wonderful condition. The center has a bone on a small piece of paper on a silver flower. The leaves of the flower each have one blue paint dot but this could also be a blue stone. I just can't tell. Aount all of this is a gold sunburst. Around the edge of the relic are two rows of mwtalic twine. One in gold and one in silver. The bottom is adorned with beautiful cut work and the name of the Saint But I am unable to read it. The back is sealed with a pink cording and a red wax seal. We purchased this reliquary from an antique dealer in Italy and is but one piece of the collection we were able to purchase.
