Beautiful 1800s French gilt wood fragment shelf. This is a gently timeworn piece that was part of a larger work of art. You can see on the bottom where it must have attached to something. It is a delicate gilt-wood, hand-carved pediment. Purchased in Provence this piece is perfect as a home accent or as a unique addition to one's collection of curated finds. This piece can also be used to create an objet d'art. It measures approximately 5.25" x 2.75" and is a lovely display piece to hang or lean. Antique pieces like these are getting harder and harder to find. Please note that there is wear consistent with age as it is over 150 years. The only new piece is the hanger.
