Beautiful 1800's French wood fragment with a leave motif. This gently timeworn piece was most likely part of a larger work of art. You can see on the bottom where it must have attached to something. It is a delicate gilt wood hand-carved pediment. Purchased in Provence, this piece is perfect as a home accent or a unique addition to one's curated collection. This piece can also be used to create an objet d'art. It measures approximately 8" x 4 x 1" and is a lovely display piece to hang or lean. The back has a hanger on it which was added after it broke off the original piece. Antique pieces like these are getting harder and harder to find. Please note that there is wear consistent with age as it is over 150 years. There is also a repair that can be seen from the back. Sold as found.
