Two superb 18th-century French timeworn giltwood fragments from a church altar. These gently timeworn pieces were part of a larger work of art. You can see where they must have attached to something. Both are delicate pieces of hand-carved gilt wood. Purchased in Provence, these pieces are perfect as a home accent or a unique addition to one's curated collection. They can also be used to create an objet d'art. These are lovely display pieces. Antique pieces like these are getting harder and harder to find. Please note that the wear is consistent with age; these are over 150 years old.
