Beautiful 19th-century French religious icon. This is a piece made of meerschaum. The glass and frame are long gone, but this is an excellent reliquary given the detail in the particular piece. The back is in excellent condition, and you can see how the meerschaum has aged over time. Overall, the icon is in good condition, even without the glass and framework, given its age of over 150 years. The piece measures 2.4" long, 2" wide, and .65" deep.
