A pair of early nineteenth-century French candle snuffer scissors. Candles were safely snuffed out, the hot tips of the wicks neatly extinguished, and the trimmings caught in the container attached to the back blade. This is a candle snuffer over 200 years old, which we found in Provence, France. They measure 6" long—a little piece of history from a long time ago.
