These antique 1800's metal French hooks are from a large lot of metal findings acquired in France. These lovely pieces are cast metal that have been aged over many long years although these look perfect. Their design has been so deftly done it makes the quality of these antique pieces outstanding! These are made using a heavy brass wire which is shaped to form a hook. At the base of each hook is a lovely metal embossed decorative star with six sides. The back consits of the two pieces of wire. These are used by pushing the wires through a surface and spreading them open to hold the hook in place. Each piece has the original wear to the metal commensurate with its age but honestly... THESE ARE IN MINT CONDITION.
