Beautiful 1800's antique relic frame I purchased in France. This is a one of a kind piece that I have never seen the likes of before. As a matter of fact I am still trying to figure it out. This is a beautiful metal easel frame that can sit or hang. There is very thick beveled glass on the front and each corner is adorned with a leaf pattern. On top of the glass is a crucifix. The back is a dark cranberry velvet with pinked metal holding the velvet and easel in place. There is also a hook for hanging this piece as well. Under the glass on the front might be a botanical or it could be hair. I am not really sure at this point and I didn't want to pull back the pinked metal to open it up. It is a gorgeous piece but it is a mystery. The piece measures 5" x 3.7".
