This is such a beautiful 1700's French textile confection. A timeworn treasure. Either a boudoir pocket or a church piece. It is oyster silk embroidered with florals and a gold wirework monogram. The silk is all stable. Their are beautiful remains of ribbon trim around the edges. The parchment card below does need minor re-stitching on one side but given it's age of 225+ years I am not surprised. The confection measures approximately 12.25" long, 4" deep and about 4.75" tall. It is Just as found untouched and original. We don't often see pieces like this over 225 years old.
