A superb pair of eighteenth-century French candle snuffer scissors. Candles were safely snuffed out, the hot tips of the wicks neatly extinguished, and the trimmings caught in the container attached to the back blade. The condition and wear are consistent with age. These just need a good cleaning, as you see by looking at the backside. They measure 7" long.
